Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans (34-34) were blanked 14-0 by the New York Boulders (36-30) on Wednesday.

Andrew Roach (loss, 0-1) walked a trio in the opening frame, seeing the Boulders jump out in front early with the lead. Sacrifice flies from Pat Kivlehan and Gabriel Garcia got the visitors off and running.

Following Roach, Grant Larson would toss two shutout frames in relief before allowing five in the fifth. The Boulders sent nine to the plate and extended their lead to 8-0.

On their third arm of the night, three doubles off Taylor Wright contributed to a trio of runs for the Boulders in the seventh.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Titans were shut down by rookie left-hander Dawson Lane (win, 6-3), who tossed seven scoreless frames. Lane allowed just two hits, walked two, and struck out three.

After scoring three off Kenny Williams over the final two frames, the Titans' offence added two hits off the Ryder Yakel but were unable to break the goose egg.

In total, the Titans recorded four hits and had seven reach base. Austin Davis extended his hit streak to seven in a row, while Jamey Smart, Jason Dicochea, and Jake Sanford all had knocks.

The loss marks the largest margin of defeat of the season but have another opportunity to win their second-straight series against the Boulders tomorrow.

The Ottawa Titans end a three-game series against the New York Boulders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night at Ottawa Stadium. All the action can be heard on CKDJ 107.9 and 94,5 UNIK FM and live-streamed on Flo Baseball.
