Ottawa Titans Presented Commissioner’s Award of Excellence

Ottawa, ON - The Frontier League announced today that the Ottawa Titans Baseball Club has been named the recipient of the Commissioner’s Award of Excellence, celebrating the organization’s continued growth, commitment to its fans and community, and outstanding performance from a business perspective throughout the 2026 season.

The award recognizes the Titans’ comprehensive efforts to elevate the professional baseball experience in Canada’s Capital while strengthening the organization’s connection with its fans, corporate partners, and community.

“2026 wasn't just our most successful season yet; it was another step toward making the Ottawa Titans one of the premier organizations in independent baseball,” said Martin Boyce, General Manager of the Ottawa Titans. “Ottawa/Gatineau has embraced us, and in return, we are committed to continuing to build a professional sports organization this city is proud of.”

The Titans welcomed 116,302 fans during the 2026 regular season, representing a 17.5 per cent increase over 2025 and a remarkable 90 per cent increase since 2022. The Titans set the tone for the season on Opening Night with a sell-out crowd of 10,278, breaking a 29-year-old Frontier League attendance record and filling Ottawa Stadium to capacity for the first time since 2002.

The Opening Night sellout was a catalyst for historic media coverage for the team throughout the entire season. The most significant coverage came from the Club’s unique Jersey Exchange promotion in July that offered fans an opportunity to exchange for free their Brady Tkachuk NHL jersey for a Titans AJ Wright jersey. The promotion received local, national, and international media attention, including from Sportsnet, TSN, Bleacher Report, and The New York Times.

The organization’s premium hospitality offerings remained in high demand, with the Suite Level sold out for 80 per cent of the Club’s regular-season home dates. The Club also welcomed more than 13,000 first-time ticket buyers in 2026, bringing thousands of new fans to Ottawa Stadium.

The Titans also experienced tremendous growth across their digital platforms, adding more than 11,000 new social media followers, a 49 per cent increase in total social following since the end of the 2025 season. The growth reflects the Club’s continued efforts to reach new audiences and build the Titans brand well beyond the walls of Ottawa Stadium.

Community impact remained another cornerstone of the organization’s 2026 campaign. Through the Ottawa Titans Field of Dreams Foundation, the club raised more than $80,000 to support children’s charities and organizations throughout the National Capital Region.

Ottawa Stadium also continued to serve as a destination for the broader community, hosting several non-Titans events throughout the year. Those events collectively welcomed more than 15,000 additional attendees to the ballpark, further establishing the venue as a year-round community asset.
