Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans Baseball Club announced today the re-signing of right-handed pitcher Kaleb Schmidt and the addition of Canadian infielder Taylor Wright for the upcoming 2023 Frontier League season.

Schmidt made his professional debut in 2021 with the Southern Illinois Miners, tossing to a 4-1 record with a 3.88 ERA across 15 appearances.

Wright, 25, re-joins the Titans after spending 28 games with the club in 2022. While in Ottawa, he posted a .257 average with three homers and 20 RBI, playing multiple infield positions in the process.

The North Vancouver, British Columbia product spent the majority of the season with the Intercounty Baseball League’s London Majors. In 35 games, Wright hit .385 with six homers in 25 RBI. In the playoffs, he hit .386 with eight doubles to help the Majors win their second-straight title.
