National Association, Ottawa Titans Announce 2027 Schedule; Season Begins May 7 at Home

Ottawa, ON - The National Association of Professional Baseball (formerly known as the Frontier League), a Major League Baseball partner league, and the Ottawa Titans have announced the 2027 regular season schedule.

2027 Ottawa Titans Schedule

As announced on April 22 of this year, the Frontier League has undergone a brand transformation and will henceforth operate under the name National Association of Professional Baseball (NAPB), effective immediately.

The reigning Frontier League Champions are set to begin the campaign at home once again – starting on Friday, May 7, against Canadian rivals, the Trois-Rivières Aigles.

Once again in the regular season of 2027, the National Association of Professional Baseball will have a 102-game schedule, with the Club hosting 51 home games.

Fresh off yesterday’s announcement by the National Association, the League will now consist of 20 teams – with the Cleburne Railroaders and Kane County Cougars joining. Also, the League has reshuffled Divisions, outlined below.

The Titans will once again play out of the North Division of the Atlantic Conference alongside Brockton, Québec, Tri-City, and Trois-Rivières. The East Division of the Atlantic Conference consists of Down East, New Jersey, New York, Sussex County, and Washington.

The Midwest Conference will see Evansville, Florence, Kane County, Lake Erie, and Schaumburg align the Central Division – while Cleburne, Gateway, Joliet, Mississippi, and Windy City form the West Division.

Of the 87 contests within the Conference, the Titans will play all teams 12 times, except for New Jersey, whom they will see nine times, while the Club will face Down East, Sussex County, and Washington six times each.

As for their fellow Canadian rivals, the Titans will play six at home and six on the road against Québec and Trois-Rivières.

With days off scheduled for each Monday over the course of the season, there is one exception. The Titans will open a series with the Brockton Rox on Monday, May 24, at 1:00 p.m., to mark Victoria Day. That week, Thursday, May 27, will be a scheduled day off.

For the fourth straight season, the team will be at home for Father’s Day weekend against the Washington Wild Things from June 18-20. It will be Washington’s first visit to Ottawa Stadium since the inaugural 2022 season.

Once again, the Titans are home on Canada Day, Thursday, July 1, at 12:00 p.m., hosting the New Jersey Jackals.

Next year, the Titans will play cross-Conference games, playing three Midwest Conference teams at home and two on the road. The Titans will embark on a six-game road trip August 24-29, visiting the Florence Y’alls for the first time since 2022 and the Lake Erie Crushers for the first time since the 2024 campaign. For the first time, the Kane County Cougars will head to the Nation’s Capital for a three-game series May 18-20. Also from the Midwest, the Schaumburg Boomers and Gateway Grizzlies are in town for a six-game homestand from August 10-15.

Fan Appreciation Week will see the Titans entertain the Brockton Rox and Québec Capitales to open the month of September, with the final regular-season home game scheduled for Sunday, September 7.

Once again, eight teams (by winning percentage) will qualify for the postseason: four from the Atlantic Conference and four from the Midwest Conference.

It will be formed by the four division winners (by winning percentage) and then two wild card spots per conference (by winning percentage), regardless of division.

A best-of-three Wild Card will be followed by a best-of-five Conference Championship Series – between each division winner to determine the participants in the best-of-five League Championship Series, which will see the Midwest Conference have home-field advantage. As of 2024, home-field advantage in the League Championship Series alternates between conferences each season.

Fans can expect the postseason to begin as early as Wednesday, September 8.

Standard game times at home are 6:30 p.m. (Tuesday – Thursday), 7:00 p.m. (Friday), 6:00 p.m. (Saturday), and 1:00 p.m. (Sunday).

Exceptions for home games include:

Wednesday, May 19, Thursday, May 20, and Wednesday, May 26, at 11:00 a.m.

Monday, May 24 (Victoria Day), Thursday, June 10, and Thursday, July 1 (Canada Day), at 1:00 p.m.

Wednesday, June 30, and Saturday, September 4, at 7:00 p.m.

All game times for road games are to be announced later.

The Promotional Schedule is also in the works and will be announced in the coming months.
