Titans End 2026 Regular Season with Win, Take Series

Paterson, NJ - The Ottawa Titans (57-44) wrapped up the 2026 regular season with a 10-8 victory over the New Jersey Jackals (56-46) on Sunday afternoon, taking the series and setting a new single-season record for victories.
It took until the third, but the offence drew first blood against former teammate Breyln Jones (ND, 1-0), as the Titans took an early advantage with a pair of homers. Michael Fuhrman opened the scoring with long ball number five of the season, a one-out solo shot to left before Taylor Wright cashed in a Jake Steels double with a two-run blast to right, making it 3-0 on the Canadians' 18th of the year. AJ Wright made it 4-0 with an RBI double off Grady Gorgen to put the Titans up big early.
Following two clean innings to start the day, things fell apart for right-hander Jack Kalisky (ND, 0-3) in the bottom of the third, as the Jackals stormed back to take a 5-4 lead. David Glancy scored two with a two-run double, Gustavo Sosa brought in one with a sac fly, and Isaac Bellony hammered a two-run homer.
The Titans' offence did not let the deficit rattle them, as they erupted for six unanswered runs to hit double digits.
In the fourth, Taylor Wright drove in his third of the game with a single, while Hunter Stokely's single and Caleb Burr's sac fly in the fifth made it 7-5. In the eighth, AJ Wright knocked in his 80th of the season with a single, while Burr chipped in with a two-run single to stretch the lead to 10-5.
Kalisky gave the Titans three innings, allowing five runs on five hits. The bullpen carried the bulk - with Christian Scafidi (win, 2-3) tossing two shutout innings and Ted Stuka pitching a clean frame.
Michael Vilchez allowed three in the bottom of the eighth over an inning and two-thirds, while Brett Garcia (save, 16) slammed the door in a four-out save.
Jake Steels, Taylor Wright, Hunter Stokely, and Caleb Burr all posted two-hit games, while AJ Wright picked up a game-high three knocks. Taylor Wright and Thomas Ferroggiaro each drew two walks.
With win number 57 to close out the season, the Titans surpassed the previous franchise record of 56 wins, set back in the inaugural 2022 season.
The 2026 Atlantic Conference Playoff structure is set. Ottawa (No. 3, Wild Card 1) will take on New Jersey (No. 2, East Winner), and Québec (No. 1, North Winner) will face New York (No. 4, Wild Card 2) in the best-of-three opening round.
The Ottawa Titans will now embark on the 2026 Playoffs, opening the Atlantic Conference best-of-three Wild Card against the New Jersey Jackals, beginning Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at Ottawa Stadium. After the opener in Ottawa, game two will take place Saturday night at 6:30 pm, and, if necessary, game three is set for Sunday at 2:05 pm at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey.
