OFFICIAL FRONTIER LEAGUE BOX SCORE

Pomona, NY - Once again, the Ottawa Titans got fantastic pitching and key hits to defeat the New York Boulders 6-3 on Wednesday night, taking a 2-0 series lead in the Atlantic Conference Championship Series.

Right out of the gate, the offence threatened against right-hander Garrett Cooper (loss, 0-2), as Thomas Ferroggiaro opened the game with a single to left. Next, Jackie Urbaez smashed an RBI double to the gap in right-centre, plating Ferroggiaro to start the scoring. AJ Wright made it 2-0 with a sac fly to right later in the frame.

Ky Hampton (win, 1-0) was fantastic in his first career professional start, tossing seven quality innings. Allowing six hits, walking one, and striking out five - the lone damage against the Australian was a third-inning RBI single from Jacob Tobias, getting the Boulders within one.

The run in the third inning ended an impressive 25.2-inning scoreless streak by Titans' pitching.

In the fourth, a walk and a hit-by-pitch stood aboard for Kaiden Cardoso - who cashed in for a three-run homer to make it 5-1.

Chasing Cooper after three and a third, the Boulders' righty did have a bright spot in his start, throwing an immaculate inning in the second, striking out the side on nine pitches.

Facing Anthony Leak, the Titans made it 6-1 in the top of the fifth as Jake Steels picked up yet another hit with a solo homer to left.

Liu Fuenmayor threw a scoreless eighth but slightly cracked the door open in the ninth. Jason Agresti made it a three-run game with a two-run homer before Norris McLure doubled.

Going back to the bullpen, Brett Garcia (save, 1) was brought in to finish the game, stranding two aboard to record his first save of the postseason.

Hunter Stokely picked up two hits, including a double in the win. Thomas Ferroggiaro reached base three times, registering a hit, a walk, and a hit by pitch.

With the victory, the Titans are now one win away from a trip to their first-ever Frontier League Championship Series.

The Ottawa Titans continue the 2026 Playoffs, playing Game Three of the Atlantic Conference best-of-five Championship Series against the New York Boulders on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Ottawa Stadium. If necessary, Games Four and Five will also be in Ottawa over the weekend.
