Titans Crowned Frontier League Champions

Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans defeated the Evansville Otters 4-0 in Game Four of the 2026 Frontier League Finals to be crowned champions for the first time in franchise history.

Ky Hampton (win, 2-0) led the charge, retiring the first 16 batters he faced. He tossed eight scoreless frames, allowed just three hits, and struck out seven, earning himself Frontier League Playoff MVP honours.

Through 15 innings pitched in the playoffs, Hampton allowed just one earned run on nine hits, walking one, and striking out twelve.

Jackie Urbaez got the party started, launching a 375-foot solo shot to give the Titans a 1-0 first-inning lead. Myles Smith singled and stole second, then scored on an AJ Wright double.

In the fourth, Jake Steels doubled to left, and Urbaez picked up his second RBI of the day with a single to centre, extending the lead to 3-0.

The Otters looked like they had something cooking as Mark Black broke up the perfect game bid in the sixth and advanced to second, putting a runner in scoring position with two outs. Zac Vooletich singled, and as Black attempted to score, Myles Smith fired a frozen rope to nail him at the plate and preserve the shutout.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Titans added insurance on a sac fly from Rainer Nuñez to put the game out of reach.

Eric Pardinho closed out the game, retiring the side in order, as the Titans stormed the field in celebration.

AJ Wright went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Urbaez went 2-for-4 with an RBI. The veteran duo shined in what could be their final game together, achieving their goal and bringing a championship to the Nation's Capital.

As the Frontier League rebrands to the National Association of Professional Baseball for next season, the 2027 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
