Les Titans signent Kaiden Cardoso et Jonah Sebring pour la saison 2025

Ottawa (Ontario) - Les Titans d’Ottawa ont annoncé aujourd’hui s’être entendus avec l’avant-champ canadien Kaiden Cardoso et le voltigeur Jonah Sebring pour la saison 2025.


Cardoso, 24 ans, signe son premier contrat professionnel après avoir été élu recrue de l'année pour les Majors de London dans la Ligue de baseball d’Intercounty l'été dernier. En 41 matchs, il a frappé .327 avec sept doubles, huit coups de circuit et 28 points produits.


Originaire d'Abbotsford, en Colombie-Britannique, Cardoso a participé à 88 matchs à l'Université Minot State (Minot, Dakota du Nord) en 2021-2022 avant de disputer sa dernière année de jeu collégial à l'Université d'Antelope Valley (Lancaster, Californie) en 2023.


Sebring, 23 ans, signe son premier contrat professionnel après une carrière universitaire de quatre ans. En 2024, le frappeur droitier a participé à 57 matchs à l'Université de Californie, Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, Californie), frappant .271 avec 13 doubles, deux triples, sept coups de circuit et 37 points produits.


Originaire de Murrieta, en Californie, Sebring a commencé sa carrière universitaire au Golden West College (Huntington Beach, Californie) avant de terminer à Santa Barbara de 2021 à 2024. Sebring a réalisé 12 matchs aven deux ou plusieurs coups en 2024, dont trois d'affilée et six lors de ses dix derniers matchs de l'année. Il a également élu joueur de la semaine de la Big West Conference une fois en 2023.


Dans autres nouvelles, les Titans ont échangé Jose Torrealba aux PaddleHeads de Missoula de la Ligue Pioneer en échange de considérations futures.


Enfin, le club a libéré Evan Berkey.


Les Titans vont amorcer leur saison 2025 le 9 mai en visitant les Bird Dawgs de Down East. Le match d’ouverture au Stade d'Ottawa est prévu le mardi 20 mai que les Jackals du New Jersey seront les adversaires.
