Ottawa, ON - AJ Wright's walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the tenth inning secured an Ottawa Titans (16-20) 5-3 victory over the Windy City ThunderBolts (13-23) on Thursday.

The series finale stayed scoreless through nine innings, with a combined seven hits.

Damon Casetta-Stubbs (ND, 1-2) was once again terrific on the hill for the Titans. In his return from the Injured List, Casetta-Stubbs went seven shutout innings for his second-straight quality start. The right-hander allowed three hits and struck out six.

On the flip side, Garrett Christman (ND, 2-2) caused the Titans' offence plenty of fits, going eight and two-thirds of shutout ball. The righty allowed four hits, struck out two, and did not walk a batter.

In the ninth, the Titans loaded the bases, with Derrick Edington on the bump. With a chance to win the game, Edington got Brandon Bannon to fly out to left to send the contest to extras.

The ThunderBolts finally broke the goose egg with three runs in the top of the tenth as Matt Morgan's single cashed in the start-up runner. Three batters later, Junior Martina ripped a two-run single to centre off Trevor Clifton (win, 2-1) to make it 3-0.

In the bottom half, Daiveyon Whittle (loss, 2-2) walked a trio with one out, bringing home one run. After a strikeout of Jamey Smart brought the Titans down to their final out, AJ Wright belted his team-leading ninth homer of the year to left to cap off the comeback.

The walk-off grand slam marks the Titans' fourth grand slam of the season and second in walk-off fashion this month.

The Ottawa Titans will now hit the road to open a three-game series with the Tri-City ValleyCats tomorrow night at 6:30 pm at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy, NY. All the action can be heard on CKDJ.net and 94,5 UNIK FM and live-streamed on Flo Baseball.
